Meg & Andy | CT Engagement Session
I can not even describe how excited I was to get an e-mail from Meg – not because she was inquiring about my wedding photography, but because we used to spend all our time together when we were younger playing softball for a premiere Connecticut team, and I hadn’t seen her in years! I was so happy to hear that she was doing well, loving life, and engaged to a great guy. When I met up with her and Andy at Starbucks (they know the way to my heart!) it was like no time had passed at all and we chatted about life and love and their upcoming wedding.
Come to find out that these two LOVE their wine (who doesn’t!) and take a lot of day trips visiting local wineries. We decided to shoot their engagement portraits at the White Silo Farm and Winery in Sherman, CT because I drive past it all of the time and always slow down my car just to take in it’s beauty, yet I had never shot there. I emailed the owner, Eric, to ask permission and he couldn’t have been nicer – he even came out to say Hello to us the day of the session, and provided us with some wine for their glasses to make things look “legit” 🙂 I am heading back there shortly to pick up a bottle of their new sparking rasberry wine because it’s simply delicious!
It was hot and steamy out, but Meg and Andy handled it like pros as I made them hike through tall grass, roll around on the ground, and climb into abandoned barns – I never said I take it easy on my couples ha ha but it’s always worth it!
Meg and Andy, I cannot wait to share your gorgeous wedding day with you this coming November – thank you for being so fun and outgoing and I hope that you love your images as much as I do!
I’m a HUGE fan of this gorgeous engagement ring… I love how Andy always makes her laugh, and how she lights up when they’re together. After her first date with Andy, Meg went home and told her mom that this was serious, because when they kissed he made her foot pop! Isn’t she gorgeous?!
